Psychological Treatment Services is an organization of California licensed clinical psychologists who specialize in psychological assessments of individuals from newborns through geriatrics. We pioneered the field of “in-home” diagnostics evaluations. Many of our licensed clinical psychologists have been with us since the very beginning and have honed their skills to a fine art. We have selected only the finest clinicians in the state; among them are several university-level professors. Because of the large number of experts who work with us, we are often able to clinically match the doctor best suited to the individuals specific psychological needs.
Our doctors travel to your group home, foster placement or facility to perform the testing in the person’s most familiar surroundings. Because this is the safest, most secure environment, this practice garners optimal results from our clients. Good clinical practice dictates that morning is the preferred time to perform testing. However, we are flexible about appointment times and will even accommodate weekend evaluations when necessary.
Medi-Cal is always our preferred method of payment. We need one Medi-appointment per test for each category of assessment. Other financial arrangements can be made in special cases and we also have financial contracts to cover delayed payment such as in the case of Probation placements, etc.
Each and every clinical psychologist we bring on board is carefully screened and in-serviced before they are allowed to work with us. Current credentials are maintained and updated in our files on a regular basis. Licensure and malpractice insurance information on every PTS clinician can be made available to you easily.
Quality assurance is vital when providing services for the child at risk. Our quality Assurance Team is headed by our Chief Clinical Psychologist who has over twenty-five years of experience it testing. His impeccable integrity and devotion to high standards are the measure to which we all aspire.
Psychological Treatment Services is continually compiling a library of psychological assessment theory and practice. Because of our extensive association with psychologists, group homes, foster family agencies, non-public schools, foster parent associations and other related facilities all over the state, we are privy to many on-going developments involving our special population of children. The political arena, though less traversed in favor of actual hands-on practice, is also a necessary field of knowledge and Psychological Treatment Services strives to stay abreast of new developments there as well.
