The Educational Assessment is delivered with one of the most useful tools we have found to date, The Woodcock Johnson Assessment of Educational Achievement. This test, as opposed to an I.Q. score, delivers to you a grade level of achievement in each major subject. For instance, it will tell you that your client is working at a Third Grade, Second Month level in Math or Vocabulary.
The Educational or Achievement assessment enables you to pinpoint areas of strength and weakness in your client. It works extremely well with the Standard Assessment. The Standard Assessment gives you the ability level of your client. The Educational Assessment tells you how well your client has been able to use his ability to gain his achievement.
Many of these children have low self esteem. They also have little control over many facets of their lives. Academic achievement is one area of hope for them. It is an area over which they can gain control and achieve and feel good about themselves. The more you know about their ability in relationship to their achievement, the more you can tailor a plan which will assist them in their progress.
This test is administered from the age of three years and up.
