About Us

Standard Assessment

The Standard Psychological Assessment performs several basic functions. Many workers are interested mainly in the I.Q. aspect of this assessment. Psychological Treatment Services will give you a Standard Assessment in a I.E.P. format at your request. This just means that we separate the scores for presentation to your school.

In addition to I.Q. scores, however, the Standard Assessment provides you with a much broader look at your client. The battery of tests in this assessment includes projectives which screen for psychopathology and organicity, for instance. Personality screenings which will indicate levels of depression and anxiety, among other concerns, are also included.

Your own observations about your client and a solid case history will enable the clinician to target your areas of concern. Assessments are a three-legged stool, each one needed to help it stand. The three components or "legs" are Testing, Behavior and History. We need your input for the latter two and your expertise is always a welcome addition to our clinical psychologists.
